Glossary

Anything that helps all participants process and return to a more usual state of mind after a hypnosis session. Each participants needs should be discussed in advance.

A procedure that wakes someone up from a hypnotic trance

A process that gets the tee from a shallower state of trance to a deeper state of trance

The tee is said to be deeper in trance if they are more in trance. The concept of depth is relatively controversial, in particular whether a deeper trance achieves anything better than a shallower trance is disputed. We find it helpful as a subjective feeling only.

To help someone achieve a state of trance

When a tee flops during trance it means that all their muscles become completely relaxed. They might fall down as a result, so it’s good to know if a tee usually flops before doing any hypnosis, in order to take measures so that they don’t hurt themself.

  1. A hazy mental state that can last for a little while after hypnosis. It is often said that it happens when someone went in and out of trance a lot in a short period of time. In our personal experience, it can also happen after a few (or even just one) deep trances, or even after acting on hypnotic suggestions. It can be more dangerous than usual to take important decisions or to doing risky activities such as driving, when fractionated.

  2. An induction or deepener that consists in quickly and repeatedly waking up and dropping the tee again, or in getting them quickly and repeatedly from a deeper trance to a more shallow trance and back to a deeper trance.

A person that fetishizes hypnosis. Hypnosis is one of their kinks or is inherently sexual for them.
